finally there is some activity that my idle btain can now do. I have signed up for THINKSOFTGLOBAL's test this saturday on the 1st of may .....at 3 pm in santhome school.
I also have some minor shopping regarding my trekking ........to be done and if possible get myself a new walkman (hmmm........quite difficult though ) .

IT's raining BITS at BCL
well in this bandwith starved era of dial up thru an OC bsnl ............this 2 and a half hour browsing experience here has been like having a 5 bucket bath in water starved chennai !!!!! . i've just got a little too bored browsing here .........might consider it quits for now and come back for the AC (knowledge also.....! ! ) tommorow .

Damn it ............the British counciol library doesn't seem to be allowing members to browse their email here at BCL. seems u can go only to educational sites. That's precisely the reason why i got a browsing seat as soon as i came here. looks like the crowd has died down after a CENSOR on email was declared here .
generally i get a seat in the brwosing centre at BCL only a good 1 or 2 hours after i've entered the library as the rush was great for the 5-6 odd systems they had. but now they have around 20 systems ......but the mad scramble for systems has died down and secondly now a person can sit on the web for an unlimited amount of time ,unlike the half hour slot that was given earlier.now the only advantage of that is as a true student one can have untramelled access to the net as and when we want it . well all i can say is i'l give BCL a thumbs up for their efforts to make people read more resources on the web rather than checking ......personal mail.

i just signed up on GMAIL on google ........it seems to offer 1000 mb ,against yahoo's 5 and hotmail's 2 ............cool i need to delete any mail.
I came back from my grandparents Sadhabishekam ........(80 th birthday cum marriage celebration's ) held at tirukadiyur .we were lodged in a olden days mansion .......it was real fun staying in a house full of pillars and olden day facilities with an open outlet for the rainwater to come in . It resembles a bit of my friend Achut's house in triplicane ...........with darkness preserved and cobwebs hanging around.
It was 2 days of fun , with a small family gettogether at this place .My stomach ache showed up that place too and it was the worst stomach ache and vomitting attack I 've had over these 12 months . it lasted from 6 in the evening to 2 in the morning. Every time I vomitted , the stomach ache was getting more intense and my stomach decided to throw up until the last morcel in my stomach was removed ..............It became so worse that I had to literally drink water to makie sure even that small bit came out and made me more relieved.
The second day was fun as my cousins and I finished 5 rolls of camera film shooting our THATHA AND PATI ..............and we are awaiting the video CD to be out ....

i am feeling so bored and lackadaisical ..........no activity interests me these days and to add to it ..........elements from outer space invade my stomach 2wice a week to dig out whatever was there ...
there seems to be certain logistical problems on our tour.We've tried extending it to jammu also ,but the guys should agree and more importantly shouldnt feel jaded at walking 28kms in vaishno devi .............. I am more so worried about one guy who gets scared at the sight of doing any small work that involves opening his mouth and doing anyactivity that involves exertion.....his mind wavers like a sine wave especially when it comes to taking decesions .................well All i can say is that managing people is an art that only few can do and i am being groomed and trained well by my fellow mate .....................(hey incase u r reading ,dont mind da , it's just a little frustrating that's why I am airing my vent on the web, no harm mate )

BANGALORE BECKONING
I just booked my tickets to bangalore to attend an interview,more of an informal chat with a company called KNOWLEDGEWORKZ which is basically on the lookout for information analysts ,who scan info relevant ...blah ...blah .....essentially on the lookout for god quizzers. This afternoon kishore and I are slated to meet anand at Spencers to do some shopping regarding our tour and also finalise our return journey.Anand , the shy guy he is , will be making his debut into entering spencer plaza ............(can u belive it ? a 21 year old guy staying in chennai for the past 21 years hasnt been to this place .........? )
I also have plans of visiting the beach and collecting our tour confirmation letters late in the evening from YHAI,chennai and to start preparing for the various company aptitude tests .

NIRVANA
Thats how i feel these days ,after coming back home and lying down on the floor.there seems to be some sort of energy current from the floor that soothens me and makes me want to sleep there for hrs (more like a rejuvenation centre !!!)
Yesterdays CG exam was personally my worst exam as i didnt know the answer to a single long answer question and all i did was blab 32 pages of absolute crap.anyways gotta put that debacle behind me ........and prepare for Network security ,my next paper where i have some firm grounding with regard to the concept ....
well as soon as the exam on 17th ends I am planning to to do a allout revision of all my last 4 yrs BE books mainly meant for preparation for these entrance exams to software companies.lots of IT recruitments seem to be cropping up , but the main problem is the oppurtunities re either in bangalore or delhi, so cant actually go and attend the interview.with the final sem exams still on.
and yes...........we still havent got the confirmation from shimla reg the double deluxe suite we booked for on may the 8th .................god help us........:-)

well our tour is finally underway .we've booked the tickets and are leaving chennai on the 6th of may via GT . we've booked our tickets upto shimla ..........and we've also booked rooms to stay in shimla , but still havent got the confirmation from the hotel manager ,even though we've transfered the room rent to his UTI bank accnt at simla

S P E E D -- PART 4
well I dont know why has it to happen always in the last minute for me .yesterday I , along with my other friends had to submit our north india tour application at teh youth hostel premises and the way it went was really a nerve wracking experience .
8 AM- in college to get signatures for the no -due form....
9 AM - am frustated seeing the huge line .......where i am asked to stand again in the queue as I havent got another sign from some non descript corner of the college
10 AM- the torcher is over, i finally get my hall ticket
12 45 reach home after an ardous journey battling the risng mercury in chennai.
3 PM -try to study but am lured by the phenomenen of slumber .........
5 pm make a headaway to my cousin's place , as my Chitti knows a doc ...to get the fitness certificates for all six of us ......
6 PM -expecting kishore ..........to come with the rest of the forms .....but he turns up at 745 pm
7 pm- waiting the doc's place .........
7 40- doc says she can issue medical certificate only for me as she has seen me , but not for the others.......as they are not present there...
7 55: we are still in guindy and yet to make our getaway to nesapakkam(youth hostel office in chennai which is open only from 7pm to 9 pm )
7 56 :decide to give up ..........as 5 of us , except me ....do not have sign in the medical fitness columbn..........
7 57 :decide ti give it a shot , or at least meet the YH guy .......and ask for extension.
8 12: go to 2-3 clinics--but no doc there.
8 15: go to pallava hospital ........wait for 5 mins for a duty doc.......who spends 10 mins ........saying that giving false medical certificates could land him and his hospital in problem...
8 30 - kishore gets his medical cert from pallava -paying 30 bucks.
8 35 we start our bikes .......looking out for ........small clinics with ........docs who are "relativvely vetti " .........
8 45 : kishore spots a small clinic adjacent to the road having a PCO booth.
8 50: the doctor there, a young 25-26 kinda age ........finally issues us 4 medical certs @ 20 rs per cert .
8 55 : we finally submit our application in the nick of time .............
9 pm: our tour date is finalised on may 7....(leaving chennai )
9 05 : am one heck of a happy man ............as we prevail against the odds

organizing something ......has always been a part of my life.My classmates at college had a big laugh in 3rd semester when i used to go for symposiums and at my attitude which suggested attending less of class and going out more for symposiums .I perdsonally felt that classes at college was horrible ...........and instead of losing my mood over these classes one could go out officially for a symposium and learn more...
when in 4th sem our symposium came up , I was the one who worked very hard at it , with some support from some like minded friends..........where still people laughed and mocked at me from doing things that werent directly connected with studies.........
I stil see the same attitude within guys of my college , when i asked them for their participation in the tour.............but i am happy that ii havent changed myself despite a few morale losses ...........during these years........
Their happiness at mockling me has made me even more strong ......to continue my efforts at heading and organizing things.suddenly I feel very resposnsible.............

This price shown is ex-kullu .........the cost to travel to kullu rom chennai is our own.Incase at that [point of time (may 18) we are all different places it dosent matter , u can come directly to delhi and we can then then form a group and proceed from there.
This is being organized by Youth Hostel assossiation of India (24890976) .......and on succesful completion of the trekking program , we are awarded certificates.......from the govt of india......

something interesting that I found today was the interesting news that cognizant technology sloutions plan to recruit 4000 people.I need to know whether their requirements have freshers or professionals ..........anyways ......gotta hit the sack......and get up early ......to finish my proj documentation.........and do the binding stuff ....
am presently .........admiring the wit and honesst nature of khushwant singh and am proud that there is some one to emulate him from my college.

FAGGED OUT
The last 3 days have been quite eventful in the sense I had a lot of roaming work to do with regard to my project .Still there are some technical glitches that need to be sorted out at the place where I am doing it and also need to get the confirmation letter from the company that I have finished the project succesfully.........
It started on the 25th .......when i went at 11 am to get my dongle kit and the software written on a CD from my company .......and the guy asked us to come in the evening as he was busy........came in the evening ......and found a lot of errors .......and also had to do an errand job in dropping some idiot from the company who wanted to go 2 some industrial estate in valsaravakkam for performing some experiment on the CRO and had to wait for that arsehole and drop him back at the company .............simply bcoz I had a bike ..........
then the night just went on ........errors seemed un buggable ........and at 1 30 am my guide gives up , says ........."I am too tired, lets go out for some tea" and prasanna and I find ourselves .......in a tea shop at 1 40 am , sipping tea .......and finally at 2 3 0 am , the bug is removed and finally I make my way home .......only to get uplate .......at 7 ....and take my bike to college (37 kilometers ) .......to do my project demo to the external examiner ...........and as luck wud have it ....our bay 4 32 MB ram systems ruin my day.....by deciding to stage a BHOOK HARTAL ( ok , we know it as the computer HANGING ) .......and I am not able to show my demo ....
I get flabbergasted and have to come the next day .......to show it , so I decide to test on kishore's PC which is in his friends room in avadi.......meanwhile spend the evening with LG Ganesh ..............discussing future plans and getting tips from him to lead life with the 1/2 part of life which is better ......
the next morning , I take arun with his cpu ........to college and show the demo ........but an still to get the signature from the project officer.......so i drop arun at avadi and come back to college and finally wait till 4 15 pm ........till the guy signs my record........
and then I meet pras at avadi ....who missed the coll bus ........and so i take him home along with me ...........and drop him at his place ..............
wow ...........travelled 186 kms in the last 3 days............and it sure took its toll today ...as I slept like a log today ................and am still sleeping ................

It started on the 25th .......when i went at 11 am to get my dongle kit and the software written on a CD from my company .......and the guy asked us to come in the evening as he was busy........came in the evening ......and found a lot of errors .......and also had to do an errand job in dropping some idiot from the company who wanted to go 2 some industrial estate in valsaravakkam for performing some experiment on the CRO and had to wait for that arsehole and drop him back at the company .............simply bcoz I had a bike ..........
then the night just went on ........errors seemed un buggable ........and at 1 30 am my guide gives up , says ........."I am too tired, lets go out for some tea" and prasanna and I find ourselves .......in a tea shop at 1 40 am , sipping tea .......and finally at 2 3 0 am , the bug is removed and finally I make my way home .......only to get uplate .......at 7 ....and take my bike to college (37 kilometers ) .......to do my project demo to the external examiner ...........and as luck wud have it ....our bay 4 32 MB ram systems ruin my day.....by deciding to stage a BHOOK HARTAL ( ok , we know it as the computer HANGING ) .......and I am not able to show my demo ....
I get flabbergasted and have to come the next day .......to show it , so I decide to test on kishore's PC which is in his friends room in avadi.......meanwhile spend the evening with LG Ganesh ..............discussing future plans and getting tips from him to lead life with the 1/2 part of life which is better ......
the next morning , I take arun with his cpu ........to college and show the demo ........but an still to get the signature from the project officer.......so i drop arun at avadi and come back to college and finally wait till 4 15 pm ........till the guy signs my record........
and then I meet pras at avadi ....who missed the coll bus ........and so i take him home along with me ...........and drop him at his place ..............
wow ...........travelled 186 kms in the last 3 days............and it sure took its toll today ...as I slept like a log today ................and am still sleeping ................

India just won 2 back to back matches at Lahore and that has certainly gladdened my heart .Moin and shoaib almost snatched the match from India's hands and I guess there would have been widespread demonstrations if india had lost.......any way didnt happen that way
looks like whole of india came 2 a standstill when the match was on today as per the reports generated by aaj tak and headlines today ......and some even watched cricket matches at cineplexes ........imagine watching cricket in a 70 mm with DTS effects for listening to sidhuisms ...

--- It may be the slogan Union bank may have adopted , but from my side it's a literal plea ................to win the remaining 2 matches...I feel India has to pull up it's socks and it has to do a few mandatory changes............like replace laxman with badani , as Laxman doesnt seem to be in the best of form .....after his australia dream week , where he scored 3 hundreds .Ganguly must lead from the front by batting at no 3 ....and must aim at accelerating the scoring ....and use a lot more of common sense while setting his field.......especially for spinners ....
All this is being said after investing 8 hours of my precious time in watching the matching and what was my return on investment ? a sad dejected .....look at the end of it all............
Well life currently is boring with all the project work over ( :-) .........and with no one to talk to ..as I am alone in the house....spent a few long nights with prasanna discussing on how we should keep in contact with each other after graduation........and possibly have a grand get-together before we part off--- in quest for a job and higher studies........
We discussed a whole lot of places .....where Goa ideally seems the favourite to chill off , but other options were hill stations .....where one at least has a chance of a campfire in the biting cold ....or ....(it just goes on ) ..I guess we have to find a travels comapny .......and sit down and have a look at brochures and manuals to get to know of budget hotels ....in good locations..........
and ya..............I have decided to call it a day ......with regard to going for symposiums .......as yesterday's one at bharath was supposedly my last one ....quite a good one that coz i won the quiz and came second in paper presentation........so it feels great to sign off on a winning note (a.l.a JAVED MIANDAD -scoring a victory (century) in my first and last symposium ) ...

There seems to be a sudden spurt in the way i do things.I dont worry much these days and seem to be quite relaxed . I plan to go again to Bharath engineering college ...here in tambaram on the 18th to present my project as a paper , but have my cousins sisters wedding on the same day too...in pallavaram....so i guess I shall have to balance my time equaly between both these places....
As far as symbiosis is concerned the first waitlist has produced 31 names uptil w/l 31 ...it remains to be seen whether the 3rd waitlist goes until 122( highly unlikely ) ...
I have also started applying to a few IT companies ...who require freshers....but am yet to recieve call for a test /interview........

MONEY MONEY MONEY
well yesterday I was to go with my friend ganesh to BIST (bHARATH INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ) for attending a eee symposium , but since we didnt get confirmation that the event was on ...from pras , we decided not to go ....but somehow pras confirmed it thru his juniors and he went to BIST by their college bus .....i had some work and decided to go a little late .........reaching there at 11 am ..........dozed my way thru , hoping pras would win cash at the paper presentation event , but HO NA SAKA ...then we wrote the quiz prelims and after a sumptous lunch decided to wait for the quiz results and suprisingly we had qualified .......
THE quiz finals were all the more interesting as we gave(rather I) lots of answers and were placed 2nd a few points away from the team that won it .
As i walked down the podium , after the quiz was over ........I was waiting for the cash of 1000 bucks (as announced by their poster ).............but got the shock of my life when they said they have no prize for SECOND position, well and the guys who came first , actually got no cash,but a 250 bucks gift voucher at some local optical shop ...............................
I got terribly angry , at this , but there's nothing I can do to get the cash.....
Then a question occured to me , am I into quizzing for fame or money ..............and suprisingly after some reflection ...........i heard my hert say money.........money ..........and only money....
well initially I was sad , as to why i thought that way , but soon consoled my self saying , I've won enough quizzes,PP,adzaps.......etc etc to have 3 pages of my resume filled with symposium details .........this extra mention ......seriously is not going to add that much value..............and beyond one stage , I realize that it's just the lure of cash that makes me attend these events as I realize that I can leverage my talents into something practical .........and ....thats about it ............
so no guilty or hard feelings ...............

I was just wondering how the last 4 years in college actually went by ......I seem to have enjoyed life more ..outside college than inside. As soon as i joined college ...ppl around me ...in class were guys from andhra ........and their behaviour coupled with the tamil population ..............left me bewildered as to how I was going to spend life with these fellows for the next 4 years...
met Sudhir and Arry who were my first friends in college ...accompanying me to symposiums ........somehow I was able to relate to life much better towards the end of first year , but still there was the feeling that I havent met a friend of my type ...............soon in the second year I hapened to meet Ganesh and prassana And luckily they happened to be 40% my type , which was a little comforting ..................
I guess I have friends in college who happen to be different in their approach to life and behaviour ..........I'l just name a few awards ...........and the nominations for the F.R.I.E.N.D.S awards

LIFE TAKES A U TURN
well I have been placed in the waitlisted position at SIIB.......and not been selected at SITM ..........didnt attend IMT and even though attended XIME ..........dont feel like going there....
A few days back when the calls came I was thinking about which inst to join in case i were to get selected ............but now I realize that I wud really be in a better position incase I were to work for some time and then attempt CAT and it's likes....
Well a company by the name KHODAYS came for placment today and and tomm we have WIPRO SPECTRAMIND coming .........but the only problem seems to be that it's a call centre job , under the guise of a technical job................
life at the moment aint really a bed of roses ............but a bed of dirty rotten vegetables ....( U can say I am vegetating here in my coll ) and the sooner I get myself out of this mess ..........the better it wud be ...................
well I have been placed in the waitlisted position at SIIB.......and not been selected at SITM ..........didnt attend IMT and even though attended XIME ..........dont feel like going there....
A few days back when the calls came I was thinking about which inst to join in case i were to get selected ............but now I realize that I wud really be in a better position incase I were to work for some time and then attempt CAT and it's likes....
Well a company by the name KHODAYS came for placment today and and tomm we have WIPRO SPECTRAMIND coming .........but the only problem seems to be that it's a call centre job , under the guise of a technical job................

STOMACH UPSET Whole of yesterday was spent lying in the bed bcoz i had my weekly dose of stomach problem .......and all of a sudden life seemed so sullen ...................i am waiting for the symbiosis final merit list to be displayed and any further career move .........can be decided only then .............
I have succefully preponed my PROJECT REVIEW to the 4th .....but still uncertainty hangs over the fact whether they would hold it for me on the 4th ..........as in our college anything can happen ...................
I finally sold all the newspapapers that accumulated in my house since last july (HINDU+ET+TOI ) ............and now the house looks clean and no more does my mind feel guilty that I ahvent read them inside out ....................
feeling really bored sitting at home (err...........doing project ....) .........
